Abstract Art! :D

 Here is some abstract art I've done! :D Wondering how I did it? Maybe not, but anywho, here's how I did it:

First I drew random designs, swirls, shapes, and lines with my pencils. 

Then I colored the shapes in with colored pencils! XD 

Easy as that! :D

Brownie, Karate, and a Request :3

 Awwwwwz! These ADORABLE pictures of Brownie were taken by my sister, FrostWolf (formerly known as SleepySasha) 

Isn't she CUTE?!? I mean, how can you look at that face and not go, "awwww!!" I luv her. :3 

Here's a list of all the tricks that she knows!

and I think that is it! Would any of you like to see a video of her doing any of those tricks?? They're ALL SOOO CUTE! ^.^ Let me know and I'll post one sometime this coming week! :D

Anyways, today was our last day of karate before break. Well, at least, our last day of black belt training. And today I qualified for the 5 minute V-sit! :D If you don't know what a v-sit is, here's a picture of it

Except you can't touch your legs. I don't know if the guy in the picture is touching his legs or not... but anywho! and I also did the 5 minute spider (also required) last night! :D Yay! ^.^ (if you don't know what a "spider" is, it's where you have to stay on your hands and feet and alternate lifting one leg, one hand, one leg, one hand, or whatever without setting down. It sounds easy, but try doing it for 5 minutes...)

Our group of candidates is up to 2045 pushups for the 4 weekends that we've had our training... Fun, right? ;P 

Guys, another thing I would like to mention is please do not spam up the "ask Amy" page... I've noticed a lot of random comments on there that are completely NOT questions.. The only reason I ask this is because that page fills up a LOT and I often have to delete comments to make room for more. So PLEASE go comment-crazy on a post, or a different page or something... Thanks! :D

Random

Hiya! I feel like randomly telling you a bit about what I did today! :D

I ATE STUFFING FOR LUNCH!!!! :))) IT WAS YUMMY!!

(in case you didn't know, stuffing is my absolute favorite food EVER :3) 

Hehehe! :D 

I was thinking about changing my blog to look more like Spring, but then I don't really want to part with how it looks right now.. What do you guys think?? 

 

Also, the Animal Jam Safari (my old community AJ blog) is no longer going to be about Animal Jam!

AAaannnd... hmm.. I can't think of anything else! So I'll copy what I posted on Life's Written Truth today! :D Here it is! :) 

Did you know that if you help a chick hatch out of its egg, it will die? It will not have the physical strength to endure LIFE if it doesn't have the oppurtunity to strengthen itself by breaking out of its egg.

You're probably thinking "Erm.. Ok? What does that have to do with me?"

Patient, young grasshopper. It will make sense in a moment. :) 

Sometimes in life, we go through hard things. We might feel like giving up, or we might just want others to make our problems go away. But is that really wise?

When we are going through hard times, WE ARE BEING STRENGTHENED. God knows just what we need, and he gives us trials to teach us, help us grow, and refine us.

So next time you're going through a hard time, think of it as something to learn and grow from, not something that will weaken you. Trials are blessings in disguise. :)

My Dog

I know I've posted this in the past, but I wanted to post it again for those of you who maybe haven't seen it yet, or forgot about it! ^.^

Hellooo!!

soooo, I've discovered that the maximum number of comments able to show up on one page is.... 205! and on the "Ask Amy" page, I reached that limit! :D That's why the comments weren't showing up anymore! XD 

And I thought it was just some sort of stupid error! ;p 

So, I deleted some of the comment chains that were especially long or really, really, really old, sooooo

I just LOVE this scripture! It's really meant a lot to me as well these past couple weeks during my karate classes... they are REALLY tough.. But I really feel that Christ has been strengthening me and helping me to get through it and to have a good attitude as well. :) 

If you're ever going through a hard time, I hope that you can remember this scripture. It really is true. Whenever you are going through a hard time, pray. God will help you. He loves you soooo much! You are literally one of his Spirit Children, and He loves you more than you can even imagine being loved! 

Have any of you ever been through a hard time, but were able to make it because of the Lord's help? I'm sure that you have, even if you didn't realize that it was the Lord helping you through it. 

Just remember that scripture. :) 

"I can do all things" no just some - all things

He will help you. :)

What Makes a "Nerd" a "Nerd"

Hello! :D

I posted this on FrostWolf's blog (that's Sasha's new blogger name), and I thought it turned out so well that I wanted to post it on here too. :3 But have no fear, Sasha! It was posted on your blog first. :) I didn't just copy a post from my blog to yours like I often did with Life's Written Truth... no offense to that blog, but I'd rather post on my sister's than that one. ;)

I'm posting to prove that being considered a "nerd" is not necessarily a bad thing! First of all, here's a somewhat comical definition of the word as stated by the Urban dictionary (which I do not recommend as a very reliable source for useful information except for in this one special case :3)

One whose IQ exceeds his weight.

Does that sound like a bad thing? LOL! I think that if you have a high IQ, that's not a bad thing! Now, I don't know what it would take for me to be able to have one that exceeded MY weight, but a high IQ certainly sounds like a plus to me! :D

Here are some usual hobbies for those considered to be "nerds" as stated by Wikipedia, the famous free online encyclopedia! :P 

 Intellectual, academic, or technical hobbies, activities, and pursuits, especially topics related to science, mathematics, engineering, linguistics, history and technology.

None of those sound negative to me, despite how much they may be looked down on by the "popular" group. In fact, nerds sound like they are the SMART crowd, the crowd that's actually going to go somewhere in life! 

To finish this post, I just want to share a quote that I have no clue who thought of. My older brother told it to me, and I don't know where he got it either.. perhaps FrostWolf will remember..? anywho, here it is:

Be careful when you criticize nerds - you may end up working for one someday. 

That is a VERY logical statement! You have to be pretty intellectually advanced to run your own company that has the ability to hire and fire, and to make or break someone's paycheck at the same time. 

So, next time someone calls you a nerd, say "Thank you" C:

WE SURVIVED!

WE SURVIVED THE FIRST WEEKEND OF BLACK BELT TRAINING!! WAHOO!!!!!!!!  :D :D :D 

Yesterday, our group of candidates ran a mile, and did approximately 350 pushups in a 2 1/2 hour period. We also did a lot of other cardio type stuff, and our forms and a lot of other tiring, sweaty, painful stuff.. lol

But it was FUN! In a weird, painful sort of way.. haha :) 

Then today we did another, like, 450 pushups.. no running this time though. :D 

Well, I'll be doing it again next weekend! 

My arms are killing me... SOOO SORE!!!!!!!!!! D: 

Oh well. :D
